Free bolero knitting pattern from Lion Brand.
I knitted alternating bobbles to add texture.
A picot cast off is used around all of the edges.
The yarn is Rowan softknit cotton, color 570 cream.
This yarn is very soft and nice to work with.

The knitting pattern is entitled "Flashy Lace Pullover - Mock Cable". The mock cable knitting pattern is a twelve-row pattern. The stitches shift in one direction over the first six rows, then shifted in the other direction over the next six rows. This creates a cable-like pattern that alternates. The yarn I used had a lot of texture so it's harder to see the pattern. Smoother yarn would show more of the cable pattern definition.
Here is a closeup of the mock cable knit pattern.
I made the sweater longer in the body than the pattern with slits in the side show below.

I used grey alpaca yarn from Acapella Alpaca Farm in Hollis, NH. The top-down knitting pattern with raglan sleeve shoulders is entitled "Knitted Spring Ribbed Cardigan" by Hannah Fettig (Knitbot). You could easily modify the pattern to shorten the sleeves and/or make it a bolero style sweater.

View from the back shows the stockinette stitch with the 6x3 pattern on the outside edges of the back.

This easy quick-knit v-kneck women's sweater pattern took me about three weeks in my spare time. The pattern calls for size 11 needles and bulky yarn. I found the yarn at Michael's on sale for only one dollar per skein. The yarn is SpunWell SpiceShop "Juniper", 55 yds/skein. I used 12 skeins / 660 yards total. The sweater in the photo is a size small and I normally choose a medium pattern. I lengthened the sleeves by two inches from 17" to 19". The pattern is from "The Big Book of Quick Knit Sweaters" by Leisure Arts, which has 16 quick knit sweater patterns.

I used this knitted sweater pattern as a guide, but adjusted it for full-length sleeves, 15" body from underarm to bottom and no lapel collar.
Pattern: Plymouth Yarn Company, Woman's Cropped Jacket 2056 (pattern adjusted for long sleeves, longer body, no lapel collar)
Yarn: A Touch of Twist, www.atouchoftwist.net, 100% Alpaca, Colourway = Black and White Twist

Easy-to-knit short sleeve women's knitted top. Alternate rows of k4, p2 or p4, k2 pattern. The knitting pattern is called "drop-shoulder tee" from a collection book entitled "Saturday Style" by Doreen L. Marquart. All sixteen patterns in the book are stylish and relatively easy to knit.
The brown yarn in the photo is hazelnut brown blended wool. The light color is Lion Brand / Vanna White brand called "oatmeal". This yarn is surprisingly soft for a rayon and acrylic blend. I usually don't work with synthetics, but this yarn is nice.

This diagonal garter-stitch yoke on this womens knitted sweater adds extra flair and style. Knitting pattern is from a book of knitted sweater patterns entitled "Saturday Style" by Dorren L. Marquart.

This seamless V neck-down men's pullover sweater took about six months of frequent knitting time. The pattern uses size 6 needles and the alpaca yarn I'm using is thin 2-ply (five 4-oz skeins), so it took a while. The pattern is from Knitting Pure & Simple found at patternfish.com
I'm using alpaca yarn (my favorite), charcoal color, that I bought at the New Hampshire Sheep and Wool Festival from "A Touch of Twist" of Pattersonville, NY. They feature Peruvian alpaca yarn and other knitting supplies.

This neckdown pattern (no seams) was easy to follow. I think I knitted this in less than a month. The pattern is by "Knitting Pure & Simple". The yarn is Queensland Collection, Rustic Tweed, which is made of 63% wool, 27% alpaca and 10% donegal. The yarn is distributed by www.knittingfever.com
The heart-shaped sweater clasp is by Leslie Wind. I have four of these sweater clasps which I found at the New Hampshire Sheep & Wool Festival
